Writing a page range that does what you expect
Use visible page positions
This tool counts file pages from 1. A printed page label inside the document may use a different number, especially after a cover or contents page.
Separate choices with commas
Use 1, 4-6, 9 to request individual pages and a range. A range runs from the lower number to the higher number. Invalid or out-of-bounds values are reported before an output is created.
Read the new sequence
Selected chunks appear in the order you enter them. Repeated page numbers are deduplicated. Open the resulting file and check the beginning and end of each selected section.
Try the workflow
Entering 1, 3-5, 8 creates a file containing those pages in that order. Page numbers start at 1, not 0.
